China's Top Legislator Arrives in Tokyo for Official Visit

Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Chinese National People's Congress Standing Committee, arrived in Tokyo Thursday afternoon to start his weeklong official goodwill visit to Japan.

Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Chinese National People's Congress Standing Committee, arrived in Tokyo Thursday afternoon to start his weeklong official goodwill visit to Japan.

Wu is visiting Japan at the invitation of Japanese House of Representatives Speaker Tamisuke Watanuki and House of Councilors President Hiroyuki Kurata.

This is the third and last stop of Wu's three-nation visit, which has already taken him to the Philippines and the Republic of Korea.
