China Grants Fund to Help Disaster Victims

China's Ministry of Finance granted an urgent fund of 20 million yuan (about 2.5 million US dollars) Wednesday to assist the people who suffered the flood disaster in the country's northwestern province of Shaanxi.

China's Ministry of Finance granted an urgent fund of 20 million yuan (about 2.5 million US dollars) Wednesday to assist the people who suffered the flood disaster in the country's northwestern province of Shaanxi.

The central government also allocated 52 million yuan to the earthquake-rocked Chifeng City, in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, announced the ministry, adding that 51 million yuan would be used to help local people resume normal life and 1 million to repair and rebuild local health-care facilities.
