CPC Senior Official Meets DPRK Guests

Liu Yunshan, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, met Wednesday with Om Il Gyu, vice editor-in-chief of Rodong Sinmun of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Liu Yunshan, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, met Wednesday with Om Il Gyu, vice editor-in-chief of Rodong Sinmun of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Liu, also head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, told the guest about the 16th National Congress of the CPC and the important thought of "Three Represents" as well as the achievements in economic construction, Party building and the battle against SARS.

He appreciated the cooperation and exchanges between the People's Daily and Rodong Sinmun, hoping the media of the two nations play a more important role in promoting bilateral relations.
