TV Workers Serve People, Socialism Better: CPC Leader

TV staff members should fully realize their responsibility and do their best to serve the peopleand socialism, a senior leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said here Friday.

TV staff members should fully realize their responsibility and do their best to serve the peopleand socialism, a senior leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said here Friday.

Li Changchun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the call when visiting an exhibition showing achievements made by China Central Television (CCTV) since its establishment 45 years ago.

Li spoke highly of the contributions made by TV journalists in reporting events in the course of opening-up and reform, and modernization construction.

Sticking to a correct political direction, TV staff should go deep into people's lives and base their programs on the people, hesaid.
