Multinationals to Take Part in International Procurement in West China Int'l Expo

A number of multinationals have registered to take part in an international procurement event to be staged late next month in this capital of the southwestern province of Sichuan, according to a source with the provincial trade promotion department on Thursday.

A number of multinationals have registered to take part in an international procurement event to be staged late next month in this capital of the southwestern province of Sichuan, according to a source with the provincial trade promotion department on Thursday.

Sichuan is scheduled to host the West China International Expo on September 26, during which the International Procurement Day will be sponsored to attract multinational businesses, the provincial trade promotion department said.

Auchan of France, Alcatel, Metro, and Ericsson of Sweden have promised to attend the event, and have given a list of up to 1,000items they intend to purchase, including electronic goods, chemicals, textiles, food and construction materials.
