DPRK Delegation Arrives in Beijing for Six-party Talks
The delegation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), led by Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Yong Il, arrived Tuesday morning to attend the six-party talks on the Korean nuclear issue scheduled to open on Aug. 27.

Kim spoke nothing to journalists who have waited outside the airport's VIP room for a few hours and just waved his hands with asmile.
The DPRK delegation arrived in Beijing following other four delegations that arrived on Monday. The DPRK is an important party involving in the talks, every DPRK delegation's move will catch the eyes of the whole world.
The meeting, decided by China, the DPRK, the United States, the Republic of Korea (ROK), Russia and Japan after consultations, is scheduled to last three days.
The convocation of the meeting represents an important step toward a peaceful solution to the Korean nuclear issue, according to a Chinese expert.
Beijing talks involving China, the DPRK and the United States was held between April 23 and 25 to solve the nuclear issue, which China considered a good start.
It is reported that the DPRK side considers the Korean situation still serious because of the US hostile policy toward the DPRK, and hopes the six-party talks will contribute to solution of the nuclear issue.
