Flooded Coal Mine Death Toll Hits 34 in E. China

One miner is still missing after an almost one-month rescue operation in a flooded coal mine in Zaozhuang City in east China's Shandong Province.

One miner is still missing after an almost one-month rescue operation in a flooded coal mine in Zaozhuang City in east China's Shandong Province.

The mine flooded on July 26, trapping 37 miners working underground. By Sunday, 34 miners had been confirmed dead and onlytwo were saved.

Rescuers are continuing their work in the hope of finding the last missing body. (Xinhua)
