World number one Cheng Hong was stretched to three sets by his compatriot Chen Yu before finishing off the challenger 11-15, 15-8and 15-4 and retaining his men's singles crown.
Women's top seed Zhang Ning beat defending champion Zhou Mi 11-0 and 11-8 to seize the singles title.
Yang Wei and Zhang Jiewen was up against teammates Gao Ling andHuang Sui in the finals of the women's doubles. Yang and Zhang took the match from their seniors 17-16 and 15-7 in about 80 minutes.
Jens Eriksen and Martin Hansen of Denmark clinched the men's doubles championship on Sunday, defeating their fellow countrymen Lars Paaske and Jonas Rasmussen.
In the finals of the mixed doubles, the South Korean pair Kim Dong Moon and Ra Kyung Min beat the Chinese shuttlers Zheng Bo andZhang Jiewen 5-15 and 9-15.
Yonex-Sunrise Singapore Open 2003 on August 19-24 with a prize purse of 170,000 US dollars attracted more than 300 shuttlers fromover 30 countries and regions.
It is also the first leg of three back-to-back Grand Prix events scheduled throughout Southeast Asia, to be followed by the Indonesian Open on August 25-31 and the Malaysian Open on September 1-7.
