China Will Promote Relations with Djibouti: FM
China values its traditional friendship with the east African country of Djibouti and will increase cooperation with Djibouti to push forward bilateral ties along a sound and stable track, said Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing Tuesday.

Li made the remark while holding talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ali Abdi Farah of Djibouti.
China will enhance exchanges, enlarge consensus and promote cooperation with Djibouti, Li said.
Li said China and Djibouti, since forging diplomatic ties in 1979, have witnessed sound progress in bilateral ties and conducted fruitful political and economic cooperation.
The two countries have supported each other and closely cooperated in international affairs, Li said.
China appreciates Djibouti's adherence to the one-China policy,he said.
Farah said that Djibouti is satisfied with his country's friendly relationship with China.
He thanked the Chinese Government and people for their aid to Djibouti.
Farah reiterated that Djibouti will continue to firmly abide bythe one-China policy.
Li briefed Farah on the preparation work of the second ministerial conference of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, which will be held in Ethiopia this December.
After their talks, the two ministers signed an agreement to setup a political consultation mechanism between the two foreign ministries.
