A recent survey in Beijing shows that more than 70 percent of the local residents are not worried about the possible resurgence of SARS in the coming winter.

The survey, released by a renowned Chinese survey company, indicates that nearly half of those interviewed say they gained confidence from the measures taken by the government during the SARS outbreak.

However, about 30 percent of those surveyed said that they were worried that SARS could make a comback. The major reason is that no vaccine is available at present. In addition, freezing temperatures in winter and people's carelessness after the SARS outbreak may also lead to a rebound of the disease.(CRI)
