Three Chinese victims of Japan's chemical weapons were discharged from the No. 203 Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army here Monday.

All three were affected by mustard gas abandoned by Japanese troops during Japanese aggression upon China (1937-1945).

The victims include Chen Ziwei, a 10-year-old girl, 28-year-oldLi Changsheng from Anhui province, and 19-year-old Gao Zhanyi.

The chemical weapons, discovered on Aug. 4 at a construction site in Qiqihar city of Heilongjiang Province, were stored in fivemetallic barrels, one of which was accidentally broken, releasing an oil-like substance into the soil.

As of today, there are still 40 mustard gas victims in the hospital. One of them is in critical condition, said Sun.
