Chinese Premier Confers with Australian PM

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao started his talks with visiting Australian Prime Minister John Howard here Monday morning, exchanging views on bilateral relations and other issues of common concern.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao started his talks with visiting Australian Prime Minister John Howard here Monday morning, exchanging views on bilateral relations and other issues of common concern.

The talks are still going on at press time.

This is Howard's fourth China visit since he took office as Australia's prime minister.

Howard started his working visit to China Sunday evening as Wen's guest.
