China's Top Legislator Meets Thai Princess
Wu Bangguo, chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, met Friday with Thai Princess Sirindhorn, commending her contribution to the growth of Sino-Thai friendship and the mutual understanding of the two peoples.

Wu said Princess Sirindhorn was an old and familiar friend of China and a distinguished friendly envoy between the two countries.
According to Wu, the two peoples boast deep friendship and Sino-Thai relations have witnessed comprehensive growth in recent years.
China appreciates the efforts made by the King of Thailand Bhumibol Adulyadej and the Thai royal family for the growth of bilateral ties and will work for new progress in the friendly cooperation between the two countries, he said.
The NPC will also endeavor to strengthen cooperation with the Thai National Assembly, he added.
Princess Sirindhorn said she had visited a number of places in China and was pleased to see the big changes in China.
The Thai people have deep feelings towards the Chinese people and King Bhumibol Adulyadej attaches importance to Thailand-China relations, she said, adding that she hoped the two peoples would have closer cooperation for common prosperity.
Wu also briefed the Thai princess on China's latest developments and conveyed greetings from Chinese leaders to King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
