China to Send 336 Athletes and Officials to Universiade
China will field a 336-member delegation to this month's World University Games in the southern South Korean city of Daegu, Chinese delegation official said Beijing on Tuesday.

Deputy chief de mission Pan Zhichen said that the last Universiade hosts would field 229 athletes, all of them students from 45 universities and colleges nationwide, to compete in all 13 events except waterpolo at the Games.
Big names among the field are newly-crowned triple world swimming champion Luo Xuejuan and women's 200m breaststroke world record holder Qi Hui. Guo Jingjing, dual diving gold medalist at the Barcelona swimming world championships is also in the roster.
Most members of the delegation, headed by deputy director of the State General Administration of Sports Duan Shijie, will leaveon August 18 for the Daegu Games, which kicks off on August 21 through to 31.
