Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat on Monday denounced Israel for only releasing some 400 Palestinian prisoners from its jails and detention camps during the coming days.

Israel on Monday published a list of 443 Palestinian prisoners to be freed on its Prison Service's Web site in order to give Israelis opposed to the release an opportunity to appeal to the Supreme Court.
A statement from Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's bureau said the Palestinian prisoners would be released on Wednesday, beginning in the afternoon.
In a statement to the press, Arafat said releasing those prisoners is just a trick.
Israel lately arrested more than 800 Palestinians, with 239 of them from Hebron city, he said at his besieged headquarters in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
Arafat also reiterated the importance of a complete Israeli armypullout from the Palestinian territories in accordance with the agreements signed with Israel.
Asked about the Palestinian militants who have been sheltered athis compound, Arafat said they are not fugitives and will be transferred to Gaza or Jericho.
