China, Sierra Leone FMs Hold Talks
Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing held talks with Momodu Koroma, minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation of the Republic of Sierra Leone here Monday.
Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing held talks with Momodu Koroma, minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation of the Republic of Sierra Leone here Monday.
The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and issues of common concern.
Li said that the bilateral relations between the two sides haveenjoyed sound and steady development for the past 32 years.
The two countries have cooperated in various fields effectivelyand supported each other in international affairs, Li said.
China appreciates Sierra Leone' adherence to the one-China principle, he said.
Li said that China values the friendly and cooperative relations with Sierra Leone and is willing to push forward the relationship, Li said.
Koroma expressed appreciation for China's assistance to Sierra Leone and hoped the two nations could further strengthen cooperation in the fields of agriculture and energy.
Sierra Leone will continue to adhere to the one-China principlefirmly, he said.
Koroma arrived here Sunday for an official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing.
