Death roll Rises to 12 in E. China Mine
Rescue workers recovered another body Thursday evening in a flooded coal mine in east China's Shandong province, bringing the death toll to 12.

Rescue workers recovered another body Thursday evening in a flooded coal mine in east China's
Shandong
province, bringing the death toll to 12.
But 23 miners are still trapped in the mine in Zaozhuang county.
The rescue team was moving much closer to the spot where the miners are likely to be, a team spokesman said.
Two miners were rescued after the mine flooded at 10:15 p.m. onJuly 26, trapping 37 miners working underground.
The bodies of 11 were found on July 28.
