Beijing Olympic Forest Park Designs Invited
Beijing is to invite worldwide architects to participate in landscape designing of part of the city's Olympic Green, Beijing Urban Planning Commission (BUPC) said on Tuesday.
Beijing is to invite worldwide architects to participate in landscape designing of part of the city's Olympic Green, Beijing Urban Planning Commission (BUPC) said on Tuesday.
The future landscaping schemes, expected to embody Beijing Games theme of "Green Games, High-tech Games and People's Games," are for the Forest Park and central part of the Olympic Green.
Experienced architects, individual or in a consortium, are welcomed to participate before eight qualified designers are to be selected from the applicants, who are asked to get files for qualification censors from BUPC between July 22 - August 1 this year.
The 680-hectare Forest Park, located in the northern part of the Olympic Green as well as the central part, will serve to cleanup city's environment and as a good place for the citizens to spend their leisure time.
The Olympic Green, heart of the 2008 Games, covers an area of 1135 hectares in the north of the municipality.
