The 15th National Congress of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC), the country's largest youth organization, is held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing July 22, 2003.

15th National Congress of China Youth League Opens

The 15th National Congress of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) opened Tuesday in Beijing.

The theme of the congress is to raise high the banner of Deng Xiaoping Theory, fully implement the Three Represents Thought and the spirit of the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and unite and lead Chinese youth in building a relatively affluent society.

Over 1,500 delegates from around the country, representing 69. 86 million CYLC members, are attending the congress.
