Nine people died in a traffic accident in west Denmark Monday when a minibus was struck head-on by a truck near the town of Viborg, police said.
The truck suddenly swerved onto the opposite side of the highway, ramming the oncoming minibus. The minibus burned out before rescue services could reach the scene.
The lorry driver escaped without injury, police said.
The cause of the crash, one of Denmark's worst road accidents, was under investigation.
