Bush to Meet Palestinian, Israeli Leaders: White House
US President George W. Bush will meet Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon later this month to discuss how to move forward the Middle East roadmap peace plan, the White House announced Thursday.

"President Bush will welcome Palestinian Prime Minister Abbas to Washington for a meeting and working lunch on July 25. This will be the president's first meeting with the prime minister in Washington," spokesman Scott McClellan told reporters.
"The president is committed to his vision of two states, Israeland Palestine, living side by side in peace and security, and he looks forward to discussing with Prime Minister Abbas the path forward toward realization of this vision," he said.
McClellan said that President Bush will also welcome Prime Minister Sharon of Israel to Washington for a meeting and working lunch on July 29.
He said the two leaders will discuss efforts to advance peace between Israelis and Palestinians, as well as a range of bilateral and regional issues.
McClellan also said President Bush will meet Argentine President Nestor Kirchner at the White House on July 23.
He said Bush and Kirchner will discuss the important bilateral partnership between the United States and Argentina, and ways to work together to advance economic growth and prosperity, and to promote peace and stability.
