Tide Height of Lower Yangtze River Exceeds Warning Line
Owing to increased water flow fromupstream and the spring tide, the tide height of the Yangtze Riverexceeded the warning line in the section in east China's Jiangsu Province Tuesday.

According to the Jiangsu provincial flood control headquarters,the rate of flow at Datong hydrologic station reached 57,700 cubicmeters per second by 8:00 a.m., higher than the level in normal years. Tide height in Nanjing City, the provincial capital, reached 9.19 meters by the same time, 0.69 meters above the warning line.
