China Allocates More Money to Flood Control

China's central finance Monday appropriated an additional 78 million yuan (9.4 million US dollars)to support disaster relief, quarantine work and medical treatment in three flood-stricken areas.

China's central finance Monday appropriated an additional 78 million yuan (9.4 million US dollars)to support disaster relief, quarantine work and medical treatment in three flood-stricken areas.

The recipients include Anhui, Hubei and Jiangsu provinces.

Of the total sum of this appropriation, 77 million yuan (9.3 million dollars) are under the name of disaster relief in major natural calamities and 1 million yuan ( 120,000 dollars) to cover quarantine work in Anhui Province.

The central finance has appropriated a total of 229.9 million yuan (27.7 million dollars) as disaster relief funds for major natural calamities and 2.8 million yuan (337,000 dollars) to coverquarantine work in 11 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.
