The intermediate website of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympic Games (BOCOG) Sunday was officially launched on the second anniversary of the city's successful bid for the Games.
The intermediate website is constructed in line with the Hosting City Contract signed by Beijing and the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
After the upgrade, BOCOG's official website will provide more advanced information and network services. Olympic news can also be read in several languages, including English, French and Chinese.
According to IOC requirements, the intermediate website will be upgraded to the sports website in April 2008.
Beijing won the right to host the 2008 Olympics on July 13, 2001, beating out four other bidding cities, including Paris, Toronto, Istanbul and Osaka.
