China appreciates the Palestinian authority's flexible and practical attitude in restarting peace talks with Israel, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing said Thursday.
China appreciates the Palestinian authority's flexible and practical attitude in restarting peace talks with Israel, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing said Thursday.
During talks with Palestinian counterpart Nabil Shaath, Li said China will continue to work for an early peace in the Middle East.
Li said the settlement of the contentious issues, which now is in a new phase, needed the joint efforts of the international community, including China.
China had always supported the just cause of the Palestinian people in restoring their national rights, Li said.
Shaath said the Palestinian authority had been making efforts to end the confrontation with Israel and to carry out the "road map" peace plan.
Palestinians hoped China would continue to work for the early realization of justice and peace in the Middle East, Shaath said.
