India Rejects Pakistan's Charge on Quetta Blast
India on Monday rejected as "absolutely baseless" the Pakistani prime minister's charge that its consulates in Kandahar and Herat in Afghanistan and Zaidan in Iran were behind Friday's attack on a mosque in Quetta.
India on Monday rejected as "absolutely baseless" the Pakistani prime minister's charge that its consulates in Kandahar and Herat in Afghanistan and Zaidan in Iran were behind Friday's attack on a mosque in Quetta.
"India is firmly and strongly against terrorism anywhere and wedo not believe it is justified by any cause," an External Affairs Ministry spokesman said when asked about Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali's allegation.
Asserting that India has no history of any such involvement, hesaid, "Any allegation that India is involved in the terrorist attack is absolutely baseless."
After his return from riot-torn Quetta city Sunday, Jamali saidthat the mosque bombing could be a "fall out" of the new Indian consulates in Kandahar, Herat and also Zaidan.
