Second Australian Journalist Killed in Iraq

Australian journalist Jeremy Little died in Germany after being injured by a rocket-propelled grenade in Iraq, television channel Nine Network reported Monday.

Australian journalist Jeremy Little died in Germany after being injured by a rocket-propelled grenade in Iraq, television channel Nine Network reported Monday.

The 27 years old sound recordist working for the American television network NBC was attacked at a US military vehicle in the town of Fallujah, west of Baghdad a week ago. Medics treated him in a field hospital near Baghdad before evacuating him to Germany, the report said.

Little is the second Australian journalist to be killed in Iraqsince the war in Iraq began. In March, an Australian cameraman waskilled by a car bomber.

More than two thousand of Australian troops fought the war along with the United States and British forces.
