Premier Wen Meets HK NPC Deputies, CPPCC Members
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met Monday with Hong Kong's deputies to the National People's Congress(NPC) and members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met Monday with Hong Kong's deputies to the National People's Congress(NPC) and members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
The NPC deputies and CPPCC members expressed their opinions on strengthening the Chinese mainland-Hong Kong economic relations, training and exchange of human talents, and education among the youth on ideals and patriotism.
Premier Wen listened carefully to their views. He said Hong Kong's NPC deputies and CPPCC members have done much work, both before and after Hong Kong's return to the motherland, in contributing their ideas and working hard for the formulation of the Basic Law and development of Hong Kong.
The NPC deputies and CPPCC members, who love the motherland andHong Kong, have been serving as an important force in maintaining stability and prosperity of Hong Kong, said Premier Wen.
Premier Wen said he hopes the NPC deputies and CPPCC members will continue to make their due contribution to Hong Kong's development and to provide their suggestions on the modernizational drive of the motherland.
