Chinese Mainland Reports No New SARS Cases(June 26)

Chinese Ministry of Health Wednesday reported no new severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)cases and no new deaths from the disease on the Chinese mainland for the 24 hours from 10:00 a.m. June 25 to 10:00 a.m. June 26.

Chinese Ministry of Health Wednesday reported no new severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS)cases and no new deaths from the disease on the Chinese mainland for the 24 hours from 10:00 a.m. June 25 to 10:00 a.m. June 26.

In the meantime, five SARS patients were discharged from hospitals upon recovery in Beijing.

As of 10:00 a.m. June 26, the number of SARS patients hospitalized on the Chinese mainland was 39, of which, 34 was in Beijing, four in Guangdong and one in Shanghai, according to the ministry.

During the past 24 hours, the Chinese mainland reported no new suspect SARS cases.
