HK Woman Diagnosed as SARS Patient in Guangdong
The Department of Health (DH) of Hong Kong received a report from the Guangdong health authority confirming a case of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in a77-year-old Hong Kong woman.

The woman was reported to be in stable condition, said a Hong Kong government press release on Wednesday.
The woman arrived in Guangzhou around noon of June 3. Later in the day, she developed fever and was admitted to a hospital in Guangzhou.
As a precautionary measure, her six close contacts in Hong Kongwere put under confinement by DH and none developed symptoms.
DH's record revealed that the woman was an in-patient of North District Hospital where she was treated for other illness between May 20 and May 21, during which a SARS patient had been staying inthe same ward.
DH has conducted health surveillance on the woman until June 1.She developed no SARS symptoms throughout the surveillance period.
