Chinese Mainland Reports One New SARS Case (June 25)
Chinese Ministry of Health Wednesday reported one new severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) case and one new death from the disease on the Chinese mainland for the 24 hours from 10:00 a.m. June 24 to 10:00 a.m. June 25.

The new SARS case, a suspect-turned-confirmed one, was reported by south China's Guangdong Province and the death was in Beijing.
In the meantime, 15 SARS patients were discharged from hospitals upon recovery. Three of them were from Beijing, five from Tianjin, three from Liaoning, two from Inner Mongolia and one each from Shanxi and Sichuan.
As of 10:00 a.m. June 25, the number of SARS patients hospitalized on the Chinese mainland was 44, of which, 39 was in Beijing, four in Guangdong and one in Shanghai, according to the ministry.
During the past 24 hours, the Chinese mainland reported no new suspect SARS cases.
