India Test-fires 'Trishul' Missile for Third Time in 3 Days
India on Tuesday test-fired "Trishul" shot-range missile from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur, east India, the Press Trust of India (PTI) quoted defense sources as saying.

The missile was test-fired at local time around 1:20 p.m., the third time in three days.
The missile had been fired from the ITR last Sunday which was followed up with another test yesterday.
The surface-to-air missile was developed by India's Defense Research and Development Organization. The solid fuel-propelled missile has a triple battle field role for the army, air force andnavy and has a range of 500 meters to nine km with the capacity ofcarrying a 15 kg war head, the sources said.
"Trishul" is about three meters in length and 200 cm in diameter and flies at supersonic speed, the sources said.
