Chinese Mainland Reports No New SARS Cases (June 19)
Chinese Ministry of Health (MOH) Thursday reported neither new severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) cases nor new deaths from the disease on the Chinese mainland for the 24 hours from 10:00 a.m. June 18 to 10:00 a.m. June 19.

During the 24-hour period, 24 SARS patients were discharged from hospitals upon recovery, including 17 in Beijing and seven in Shanxi Province.
In the meantime, the Chinese mainland reported no new suspected SARS cases.
As of 10:00 a.m. June 19, the number of SARS patients hospitalized on the Chinese mainland reduced to 186, and the number of hospitalized suspected SARS patients on the Chinese mainland remained at 24, according to the MOH.
