Victory Gives China Women's Volleyball Much Confidence

After nine wins out of ten international games, Chinese women's volleyball team gained a lot of confidence in the international tournaments, a team's official said on Wednesday.

After nine wins out of ten international games, Chinese women's volleyball team gained a lot of confidence in the international tournaments, a team's official said on Wednesday.

In the two tournaments held from June 2-12, China claimed the title of Switzerland International Volleyball tournament and finished runners-up of the Russian President Cup.

Chinese team arrived at Beijing on Wednesday and Li Quanqiang, the team leader of China women's volleyball, said, "Nine wins out of ten games gave us much more confidence in the international tournaments, but the only lose taught us more. We found our weakness and our potential opponents in the world."

China will take part in the World Women's Volleyball League at Italy in late July as the warm-up for the Women's World Cup, whichheld at Japan in December.

Li refused to forecast the performance of China in the World Cup, in which the top three finishers will gain the berth for 2004Athens Olympics directly.

"We will try the best, but the future is not depend on the forecast." said Li.
