Pakistan Criticizes India for Slowing on Negotiations

Pakistani Information and Broadcasting Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said India's strategy is to move slowly towards start of negotiations with Pakistan on Kashmir issue, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported in Islamabad Wednesday.

Pakistani Information and Broadcasting Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said India's strategy is to move slowly towards start of negotiations with Pakistan on Kashmir issue, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported in Islamabad Wednesday.

In an interview with a local TV, he said India's strategy for the solution of Kashmir problem is to proceed slowly towards the negotiation process.

The minister said India wants to eliminate a whole generation of Kashmiris before setting any stage for solution of Kashmir issue. But he added Kashmir and Palestine issues are two major problems which would be solved in the near future.

Answering a question, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said Pakistan along with other Arab states would think about recognizing Israel, if it accepts Palestine as an independent state.

The minister expressed concern over arms deal between India andIsrael. He said the Jewish lobby which has influence in the western world is defaming Pakistan by electronic and print media.
