International businessmen will have more access over the Internet to buy Chinese-made commodities. According to an official from the Ministry of Commerce, China is furthering the use of E-Commerce for its trade and business dealings. All goods at the Chinese Export Commodities Fair, which will be held in south China's Guangdong province in October, will be available for purchase on the Internet.

China first staged an E-Commerce platform on the Internet for the goods at this Spring's Chinese Export Commodities Fair in Guangzhou city. Detailed information on 120 kinds of goods and manufacturers in five different languages, including Chinese, English, Japanese, German, and French were put on the Internet. The site got 50 million hits, and the contracted business volume conducted over the Internet reached 300 million US dollars. Based on this performance, China is forging ahead with business-to-business E-Commerce.

"We want to include more clients by using the Internet. Our goods can be purchased or booked not only by those who attend the fair, but also those who negotiate over our website," said Xu Bing, deputy secretary general of Chinese Association for Export Commodities Fair.

More and more Chinese businessmen and manufacturers are favoring this efficient way of doing business. The Chinese government plans to expand the use of the Internet for goods sale and purchase at other largescale trade fairs.
