Chinese Mainland Reports No New SARS Cases (June 18)
The Chinese mainland reported no new SARS cases and one new death from the disease between 10:00 a.m. June 17 and 10:00 a.m. June 18, the Ministry of Health said Wednesday.

HK reports zero SARS infection for 7th day straight
There was no new confirmed case of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) reported Wednesday, the seventh consecutive day of zero infection in Hong Kong, said in the joint statement by the Department of Health and the Hospital Authority.
It was also the 34th day in a row on which the number of case has fallen below five since May 16.
There was no fatality either. The cumulative total number of death relating to SARS remains at 295.
This is the fourth time that Hong Kong recorded zero infection and zero death on the same day.
Currently, temperature checks for all passengers at the airport, ports and border points continue to be implemented in Hong Kong to watch for travelers displaying symptoms of SARS.
