Typhoon 'Soudelor' to Hit China's Eastern Coast
Typhoon "Soudelor," the sixth this year, is expected to hit China's eastern coast Tuesday night and Wednesday, according to the latest forecast from the Central Meteorological Station.

By 5 p.m. Tuesday, the eye of Soudelor was located 280 kilometers southeast of Hengchun City, Taiwan Province, with hurricanes near its center. It is expected to continue northward at about 25 kilometers per hour.
The storm is predicted to generate moderate to whole gale-forcewinds, which will affect the waters east of Taiwan, the East ChinaSea, the estuary region of the Yangtze River, and the coastal areas of Zhejiang, Fujian and Taiwan provinces, with storms or hurricanes near the eye.
Taiwan's eastern and northern areas will see heavy to torrential rains.
