Chinese Mainland Reports No New SARS Case (June 8)

The Chinese mainland reported no new SARS case and one new death from the disease between 10:00 a.m. June 7 and 10:00 a.m. June 8, the Ministry of Health said Sunday. The only death was reported in Beijing.

The Chinese mainland reported no new SARS case and one new death from the disease between 10:00 a.m. June 7 and 10:00 a.m. June 8, the Ministry of Health said Sunday. The only death was reported in Beijing.

This is the fifth day in a row that the Chinese capital has reported zero confirmed SARS cases.

Guangdong province reported three new suspected SARS cases during this period.

There are currently 663 suspected SARS cases throughout the country, and less than 1,000 patients are still receiving treatment in hospital.
