Palestinian Minister for SecurityAffairs Mohamed Dahlan urged on Saturday Islamic resistancemovement Hamas to go back to the dialogue table to avoid internalPalestinian conflict.
Hamas leaders had decided on Friday to end talks withPalestinian National Authority (PNA) Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbasbetter known as Abu Mazen, that aims at reaching a Hudna, or trucebetween the two sides.
The Hamas decision was a direct reaction to Abu Mazen's speechhe addressed after the three-way summit held in Aqaba, Jordan onWednesday.
"Hamas has no other choice except to resume dialogue with us,because if it rejects the dialogue, it means that Hamas wantsinternal confrontations, which we totally reject," Dahlan toldreporters.
He accused Hamas of using the current difficult situation thatthe Palestinians are living in, adding because they (Palestinians)haven't seen a quick solution to their suffering, Hamas tried toaffect their emotions.
Dahlan had earlier denied Israeli reports saying that he has aplan to buy the guns of the Palestinian militants, and recruit themin the different Palestinian security apparatuses in order to stopits military actions against Israel.
"All what had been published about this issue is part of theIsraeli propaganda aiming at making the ordinary Palestiniansconfused and aiming at seeing the Palestinians fighting eachother," said Dahlan.
