Severe Rainstorms to Hit Southern China

Severe rainstorms have been forecast to hit some areas of provinces in southern China Thursday night, according to a report by the Central Meteorological Station.

Severe rainstorms have been forecast to hit some areas of provinces in southern China Thursdaynight, according to a report by the Central Meteorological Station.

These areas include northern Yunnan Province, southern Guizhou Province, southern Hunan Province, southern Jiangxi Province, western Fujian Province, northern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regionand western and northern Guangdong Province.

Some parts of these areas will also see thunder storms accompanied by gale-force winds or hail.

In addition, the Central Meteorological Station warns of possible landslides and mud-rock flows in the western and northernparts of Yunnan, the southern parts of Hunan and Jiangxi and the northern part of Guangdong.

Local governments of these areas are advised to make full preparations.
