Kazakh President Praises China as Example for Kazakhstan
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said on Monday that China is quickly developing in various fields and has set an example for his country in achieving its modernization.

Hours before Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to his country,Nazarbayev told Xinhua that the relations between the two countries have witnessed a rapid and smooth development since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1992.
Kazakhstan regards highly the firm stand of China in developingthe friendly and good-neighborly relations with his country, Nazarbayev said, adding that the relations have stood various challenges.
Referring to Chinese President Hu's visit, the Kazakh presidentsaid he has met with Hu for several times before and praised the Chinese leader as an experienced statesman who has a deep understanding of international politics and the world's economic development.
He also expressed his belief that Chinese President Hu is capable of ensuring that China develop rapidly and harmoniously inthe future.
On Sino-Kazakh economic ties, Nazarbayev said his country has witnessed a rapid development in its trade with China in recent years and bilateral trade volume in 2002 reached 1.95 billion US dollars.
