Chinese Mainland Reports 1 New SARS Cases (May 31)

There were onlye one new severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) cases and four new death from the disease between 10:00 a.m. May 30 and 10:00 a.m. May 31 on the Chinese mainland, the Ministry of Health reported Saturday.

There were onlye one new severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) cases and four new death from the disease between 10:00 a.m. May 30 and 10:00 a.m. May 31 on the Chinese mainland, the Ministry of Health reported Saturday.

The cumulative SARS cases rose to 5,329, while the number of SARS patients discharged from hospitals and the death toll reached 3,371 and 332 respectively, the ministry said in a daily report.
