DPRK Says South Korean Warships Infiltrate into Its Waters
South Korean warships on Thursday infiltrated into the territorial waters of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in the Yellow Sea, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.
South Korean warships on Thursday infiltrated into the territorial waters of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in the Yellow Sea, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.
One South Korean patrol boat infiltrated into the DPRK's territorial water area off Tungsangot, and two speedboats and another patrol boat violated the area southwest to Yonphyong Islets, the official new agency quoted DPRK military sources as saying.
The KCNA said there were similar incidents on Tuesday and Wednesday.
In a series of military provocation, three South Korean warships on Tuesday went deep into the DPRK's territorial waters east of Tungsangot and 16 warships on Wednesday were dispatched into the North's territorial waters southeast of Sunwi Islet and southwest of Yonphyong Islets, the KCNA said.
The series of infiltration cannot be construed otherwise than South Korea's "premeditated and deliberate provocation" along with the US "nuclear racket," said the news agency.
South Korean military should be well aware that any military provocation may have "irrevocable serious consequences," the KCNA warned.
The DPRK and South Korea exchanged fire on the Yellow Sea in June last year, in which four South Korean servicemen were killed.
