Chinese Mainland Reports 4 New SARS Cases (May 28)

There were four new severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) cases and four new deaths from the disease between 10:00 a.m. May 27 and 10:00 a.m. May 28 on the Chinese mainland, the Ministry of Health reported Wednesday.

There were four new severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) cases and four new deaths from the disease between 10:00 a.m. May 27 and 10:00 a.m. May 28 on the Chinese mainland, the Ministry of Health reported Wednesday.

The cumulative SARS cases rose to 5,323 while the number of SARS patients discharged from hospitals and the death toll reached 3,036 and 325 respectively, the ministry said in a daily report.

Beijing reported three new SARS cases and three new deaths from the disease from 10:00 a.m. May 27 to 10:00 a.m. May 28, the Ministry of Health said Wednesday.
