Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas will meet in Jerusalem on Wednesday for their second talks, Israel Radio reported Tuesday.

After the meeting, the two leaders will go to either Aqaba of Jordan or Sharm el-Sheikh of Egypt, to meet US President George W. Bush to discuss the roadmap peace plan for the prolonged Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

One possibility, said US officials Monday, would be for Bush to hold two sets of meetings, seeing Sharon and Abbas, also known as Abu Mazen, in Jordan, and leaders of Arab states in Egypt.

Israel is reportedly not eager to hold the summit in Egypt because of its chilly relationship with Cairo.

Palestinian sources said Tuesday that Abbas would agree to accept a possible Israel's offer to cede security authority over parts of the Gaza Strip, reported Israel Army Radio.

It also reported that Abbas hopes to have a draft ceasefire accord with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) ready by the time of his meeting with Sharon. But Israel was seen likely to reject the draft, which would probably call for a hudna, a one-year moratorium on terror attacks.

Sharon may hold a meeting Tuesday morning to discuss Israel's stand during the Middle East summit, according to the report.
