Pakistan Not to Sideline Kashmir Issue for Talks with India: Musharraf

Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf in Islamabad on Tuesday reiterated that Pakistan would never sideline the Kashmir issue for talks with India.

Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf in Islamabad on Tuesday reiterated that Pakistan would never sideline the Kashmir issue for talks with India.

Pakistan welcomed the recent thaw in relations with India, saidthe President to the day-long 85th Corps Commanders Conference held at the General Headquarters.

Musharraf said Pakistan stands for peace in the region and the peaceful resolution of all outstanding issues with India includingthe core issue of Kashmir through a meaningful dialogue based on "sovereign equality."

Pakistan will never compromise on its honor and dignity or allow itself to be coerced, added the President.
