Chinese Vice-Premier Huang Ju said Monday that the newly-elected Chinese government was ready to cooperate with Japan to further expand and deepen friendly bilateral cooperation.
Vice-Premier Huang made the remarks during a meeting with the secretary-generals of the three ruling parties in Japan, namely, Secretary-General of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Taku Yamazaki, Secretary-General of Komei Party Tetsuzo Fuyushiba and Secretary-General of the New Conservative Party (NCP) Toshihiro Nikai.
Huang said friendly bilateral cooperation had seen great progress in all fields and brought tremendous benefits to the people of both countries since the normalization of their diplomatic ties between China and Japan.
This proved that friendly exchanges and close cooperation between China and Japan not only conformed to the basic interest of the people of the two countries, but contributed significantly to peace and development in the Asia-Pacific region and the world at large, he said.
Huang expressed the wish that the political parties and statesmen of both countries would enhance exchanges, adopt an overall approach and make new contributions to the growth of a friendly and neighborly Sino-Japanese relationship.
The Japanese guests fully endorsed Vice-Premier Huang's positive appraisal of Japan-China relations. Taku Yamazaki said they visited China in a bid to push forward bilateral exchanges and cooperation in all fields and at all levels.
Meanwhile, they expressed a desire to deepen friendly good-neighborly relations so as to bring benefits to the people of both countries and to promote peace, stability and development in the Northeast Asia region.
