Ancient Tombs Discovered in North China

Four ancient tombs dating back more than 2,000 years have been excavated at Mao'erling hill in north China's Shanxi Province.

Four ancient tombs dating back more than 2,000 years have been excavated at Mao'erling hill in north China's Shanxi Province.

A series of funerary objects, including bronze, pottery and jade articles have been unearthed, and, according to archaeologists, the objects can be traced to the Warring States period (475-221 B.C.).

Experts say the discovery of the ancient tombs will provide important data and evidence for the study of politics, economics, culture and military affairs during the Warring States period.
