Chinese Vice-premier Arrives for World Health Assembly
Chinese Vice-Premier and Health Minister Wu Yi arrived in Geneva on Friday afternoon to attend the 56th World Health Assembly (WHA).

arrived in Geneva on Friday afternoon to attend the 56th World Health Assembly (WHA).
The WHA is the annual meeting of the 191 member states of the World Health Organization (WHO) and its highest governing body. The 56th WHA will take place in Geneva from May 19 to 28.
The Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), a flu-like virus which has affected 32 countries and regions in the world, will be high on the WHA agenda.
A total of 7,699 probable SARS cases with 598 deaths have been reported worldwide, according to latest figures issued by the World Health Organization.
